No, although some high level understanding of emergency and wilderness first aid doesn't hurt. We have a suite of training videos on how to treat the most common mountain biking injuries we recommend all mountain bikers (not just those using our first aid kits) watch and get familiar with.  

Yes, while we don't offer the individual pieces to refill the kits just yet (we will in the near future), you can certainly add to or replace used items from the kit at any time.  

Nootka first aid kits are designed with the specific activity in mind. Our mountain bike first aid kit is carefully crafted to treat the most common mountain bike injuries.  In the near future, we'll have additional first aid kits designed for specific activities. The ultimate objective of these first aid kits is to ensure you have what's needed to get your friends, family, or even yourself off the mountain safely in the event of an emergency.
